About the Project
The project consists of the development of a container depot located within the Islamic Port in Jeddah, intended to support port-related logistics and freight operations. The development involves the establishment of a dedicated logistics services area (CMA) comprising a mix of complementary land uses, including warehouses, container storage yards, and administrative office buildings. The facility is designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve cargo handling capacity, and support the overall functionality of the port.
As part of the study, the project was assessed from a comprehensive transportation and infrastructure perspective, including detailed road network and internal circulation design, infrastructure planning, and a full traffic impact assessment. The analysis evaluated truck and service vehicle movements, access and egress arrangements, internal road geometry, and the interaction between port-related traffic and the surrounding external road network, to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations within the port area and its interfaces.
